FAQ: How We Work with Solopeneurs

Marketing is one of the highest demand needs for small business owners and entrepreneurs. They have a great idea, know a lot about their craft, but when it comes to marketing online, they’re stuck on what to post, how often, or just flat out don’t know what to say. That’s where we come in. Whether you’re a solopreneur or have a marketing team that’s looking for guidance, we’re here to help.

Q: Do you manage my social media for me?

No. Unfortunately we can’t pretend to be an expert in manufacturing, tiling, food, shoes, and beauty all at once. Instead, we make sure you have all of the tools to be your own marketing pro.

Our expertise is within content strategy and providing fresh ideas to industry professionals (aka, you). We are work best by getting you and your team on the right track, so you can then execute in your niche.

Q: Can you make TikToks for my brand?

Unfortunately, I also can’t be the face of a plumbing company, a real estate firm, and a skincare company at the same time. We recommend shooting the content yourself, to give your community an authentic look into your business.

Q: If you aren’t creating posts, then how does it work?

We work with small businesses and entrepreneurs to help them better understand their brand, and how to use social media as a marketing tool. Here’s what that process looks like:

  1. Brand Discovery. You’ll receive an intro form that provides information about you and your company. What are your core values, marketing goals, and what are you inspired by? This gives us an understanding of your position within the market. Followed by the form, we’ll set up a call to go deeper into those answers, and learn even more about you.

  2. Social Media Audit: We’ll conduct an in-depth audit of your marketing efforts to see what you’re currently doing, and on which platforms. What’s working, what’s not, what’s missing.

  3. Competitive Analysis: We’ll take a look and present some findings of what others are doing well in your industry, as well as parallels of other service providers crushing it in their own industry.

  4. Distill & Strategize: From our research and collected data, we’ll distill 2 directions of content strategies for your business, in the form of mood boards. This includes content pillars and posting styles for your team to then execute from.

  5. Hand-off Guide: Once we have confirmed a content strategy, you’ll receive a how-to posting guide that includes best practices, links to templates (how to use them), and all other required information for you to get started.

Q: So you’ll show me what to post, and how to post it - that’s great. What happens next?

Our one-time content strategy includes one monthly calendar to give you a head start on how to post, and how frequently. Based on your organization’s needs, we can also develop monthly content calendars for you long-term.

Q: I just find posting on social media so exhausting. How can I make it easier for myself / my employees?

One of the patterns we have seen many times is social media burnout. You may start off motivated and excited, but you quickly run out of ideas. By creating a content strategy with various posting styles + topics, you’ll be able to pace yourself, plan ahead, and have a fluid approach to social media marketing.

Q: What if I just need some help with other marketing stuff, like what to put on my website or how to plan my marketing for the holidays?

We’re always available to join in on your planning or strategy sessions, and are happy to help with any questions you may have. Our experience is broad when it comes to marketing: whether you’re launching a crowdfunding campaign or setting up a Mother’s Day event, we’re happy to help in any way we can.

Q: What happens if my social media goes stale or we get tired of the pillars?

We’re flexible with how we work with clients, and if a top-up or refresh is needed, we’re always here to help.

Q: Can I get a quote?

Absolutely. Click here to get in touch to set up a free intro call.
